Delivery of 24 YES-EU All-Electric Buses and Charging Equipment to Pohjolan Liikenne

HSL, Finland Capital area – YES-EU in happy to announce yet another zero-emission delivery agreement in Finland, together with the second largest public bus operator Pohjolan Liikenne. A total of 24 new-generation YES-EU electric buses with length of 12 and 15 metres were handed over to the Finnish bus company Pohjolan Liikenne in the Helsinki region. This delivery published the newly created impressive 15 meter electric city bus, the first of its kind in the European market. The successful delivery on July 31st 2019, included 9 units of Yutong E12 2-axle city buses with 423kWh water-cooled batteries. The innovative water-cooled technology marks the continuous development of the YES-EU product range with more and more impressive technologies. The buses are in operation on several routes in the Finnish capital area since August 2019 and continue to further complement the company’s impressive fleet of environmentally friendly all-electric buses.
Pohjolan Liikenne is one of the largest bus companies and a pioneer of zero-emission electric bus transport in Finland. This delivery was the first large-scale electric bus project in Finland. Pohjolan Liikenne renews their fleet and uses modern solutions and technologies to reduce their carbon footprint. The all-electric buses produce no emissions during transport and are fully charged with renewable energy.
YES-EU and Pohjolan Liikenne worked very closely together to create the 15-meter electric bus, to successfully meet the demand of Pohjolan Liikenne and the very difficult operating conditions in Finland. After extensive testing period the project was a great success and the buses were delivered on December 15th 2020 as fully suitable for their planned usage.
YES-EU also successfully implemented a significant technological advancement in double-gun charging technology. With the newest technology the buses can now be charged with two charging guns at the same time, resulting in impressive 300kW charging net power to batteries. By far the largest charging power in the market.
The delivery in the Finnish capital Helsinki also included a total of 1080kW of charging power on YES-EU Charging equipment subsidiary –Energo. Enerqo, delivered one 1080kW charging container with 24 charging guns. This system is equipped with the high-level charging technology and have impressive features such as: Double-charging, Pre-Heat Support Functions, OCPP 1.6, Power Allocation, Automatic Charging Start, etc.
